Morning Coffee

Half asleep, the kettle boils, and ironically given the title of this piece, I make a cup of tea

Collagraphs are a form of original printmaking, for this piece i first draw a draft of the piece before drawing again onto the print plate and then cutting and scraping away at it. When ready the intaglio ink is carefully applied to the plate ready to be fed through the print press. Due to the fragile nature of the plate, the series is capped to a small edition of 9. The handmade nature of these prints means theres subtle variation in each piece.
 
Note on the image of the framed print: the art on the surrounding mountboard is a seperate piece, and availble at an additional £60.
