This was a commissioned piece depicting a scene along Regent’s Canal. The work captures an industrial side of London rich with texture to capture the grit and history, but softly framed by the water and foliage. The combination of the building with the nature reminds me of a sort of leather and lace pairing making this beautiful grunge effect, so the goal of the drawing was to highlight those features.
